Rebecca Hubbard

Rebecca Hubbard has a special affinity with nature and runs creative writing and art workshops inspired by landscape, gardens trees etc. In summer, for example, she offers a residential writing course that draws on the idyllic landscape at Flatford Mill, where Constable once painted. She is both an experienced writing tutor and a published writer. Rebecca currently combines being a professional gardener at a Camphill Community for adults with special needs with teaching for Buckinghamshire Adult Education. Her recent book, The Garden of Shadow and Delight is an anthology of short ‘meditations’ on the garden, and is published by Cinnamon Press, 2014. Her poetry appears in various magazines and she worked for several years as a freelance journalist writing features for the nationals on a wide range of subjects. She is a trained Steiner teacher, studied art history at Sussex University and has an MA in creative writing. Rebecca practises a silent meditation of the heart and for the past 12 years has attended the Quaker meeting at Watford.
