Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that can benefit people of all ages.
The health benefits of Tai Chi have been confirmed by numerous medical studies.
They include improving your breathing, overall body flexibility and balance as well as reducing stress.
It will be taught in a supportive atmosphere so you will leave Claridge House greatly refreshed and with a greater understanding of this ancient art.
This midweek course is suitable for a range of abilities from absolute beginners to those who have been practising for a couple of years and who are seeking to have a deeper understanding of the principles of Tai Chi.

Participants are asked to bring comfortable, loose clothing.

Tuesday
3.00pm Rooms available for check in
4.00pm Afternoon tea and cake – Introductions, getting to know each other
5.00pm – 6.00pm Tai Chi practical session – The basic principles of practicing Tai Chi
6.30pm Dinner
7.45pm – 8.15pm Tai Chi practical session – Revision of the basic principles (participation optional alternative simply to watch).

Wednesday
8.45am Breakfast
9.45am – 10.00am House Quiet Time (hosted by Claridge House)
10.00am – 11.00am Tai Chi practical session – Silk Reeling
11.00am Coffee
11.30am – 12.30pm Tai Chi practical session – Meditation and Gentle Breathing Exercises
1.00pm Lunch
2.00pm – 4.00pm Free time
4.00pm Afternoon tea and cake
5.00pm – 6.00pm Tai Chi practical session – What is a form? Introduction to the old form.
6.30pm Dinner
7.45pm – 8.15pm Tai Chi practical session – Applications, self-defence (participation optional alternative simply to watch).

Thursday
8.45am Breakfast
9.45am – 10.00am House Quiet Time (hosted by Claridge House)
10.00am – 11.00am Tai Chi practical session – Typical training session.
11.00am Coffee
11.30am – 12.30pm Tai Chi session – Talk about Well Being and how to take care of yourself.
1.00pm Lunch
2.00pm Departure
